With Miami Music Week we saw a big opportunity which was missed by many. We noticed that a majority of artists traveling to South Florida in March were techno, house and trance artists and saw little representation of bass music artists which included the growing genres of dubstep and trap. We also realized that a majority of events happening during this week were 21+ which limited opportunities for those under 21 who were still in town actively seeking entertainment.
This opportunity lead us to create creative contracts with under utilized venues, strategic brand partners who were interested in the younger demographic and emerging artists, booking agencies, record labels and management companies who worked in this growing bass community. Over the past six years RTMG grew our Miami Music Week footprint from two days a week to a full week of sold out events in multiple venues across Miami which now yields over 10,000 attendees.
